road rage.

I've had this misconception that traffic in Nashville really isn't that bad. But oh, how wrong I was. I've experienced 4 p.m. traffic and it is frustrating. Tonight we had a missions team meeting so I stayed late at work and didn't leave LifeWay until 6:15. (12 hour day!) I got home at 6:55. Let me remind you that I live SIX miles from work. It's a 12-minute commute.

Long story short, I am so grateful I can work 6:30-3. If I worked until 4 or 5, I would seriously lose my mind. Like seriously. I have anger issues in my car sometimes. Being tired and hungry didn't help things. I ended up eating a package of Southwest pretzels my sister had stashed in my glove box in November. "You'll be glad you have this in an emergency," she said. Like if I put my car in a ditch and am trapped there for three days and need food to sustain me. Or if I'm stuck in traffic driving home from work. Something like that.

On another note, Jeff said he's going to look into getting me an interview with Shai Linne. Shai is from Philly but I think he's in D.C. now working with a church. So he's not touring or anything so surely he can't be too busy for a 20 minute interview. But I'm not getting too excited about it in case it doesn't work out, but it would be really sweet if it did.

Philly tomorrow.

  1. Don't ever move to DC! I tried to muster some sympathy for your traffic story, but...coming from someone who once left for work at 8:30 a.m. and got there at 11:00 a.m. (9 miles)...I wasn't successful.

  2. haha, it's all relative, my friend. I grew up in a town of 2,500. The most common traffic tie-up was a tractor driving down the road :)
