New reports of 10' of water now in Gaylord Opryland hotel. Water from the Cumberland came over a levy and things there are getting pretty bad. They are feeling optimistic and say they might get things back up and running by Christmas.

My house is dry, but the crawlspace isn't.

| North side. This is interesting to me since I've never really seen my crawlspace. I held my camera in and used a flash. I'd say about 4" in most places. |

| East side. Everything is starting to stink. |

| South side. You can see from those cinder blocks that the water used to be up several more inches. Random hanging flower pots under there. I think some of this water will drain itself. My efforts with the shop vac were futile and the suctioning kept failing on me. I'll be keeping an eye on it. |

ReplyDeleteAh, yes. It didn't take me long to figure out that was my problem! :) Everything is drying up/draining well now. I don't think I'll have any significant damage.
